Most people get jobs when they graduate from college. Tyler Schwartz and Andrew Disney bought an ambulance. Watch as they travel across the country and uncover the real America.
We just uploaded a new episode on youtube. Now we're headed to el paso. We have to be to california by august 1st so monroe can pimp our ride. Check out www.gorancho.com to see what it should look like.
Come with Tyler and Disney and Tammy to see some of our favorite bands in Fort Worth, Texas.
First we will be seeing Green River Ordinance (FREE Show) Where: Central Market Patio (Right off I-30 at Hulen) When: 6:00PM July 12th What: This is a FREE show. All the guys in GRO are our best friends. Disney grew up with them and has many funny stories of the pranks they've pulled in Funky Town (Fort Worth.) Check out their music at www.myspace.com/gro
Second we will be seeing the Frontier Brothers (18 and up only) Where: The Wreck Room on 7th Street Here's a map When: We'll get there around 11:15PM July 12 What: The songs you've heard in our videos are by these guys. This show should also rock, so bring your tin-foil hat, a pair of solar sunglasses, and get ready to rock to the sounds of space. They want you to sing along so do your homework: http://www.thefrontierbrothers.com/media/JumpBlues.mp3 http://www.theforntierbrothers.com/media/TheFutureIs.mp3
What: Everyone meet at the fountain and at 9:37, EXACTLY, lie flat on the ground as if you are dead. A minute later, Tyler will drive the ambulance by. As the ambulance drives near, everyone yell out, "TAMMY! TAMMY! TAMMY! etc" When the ambulance is gone everyone should whine in a low monotone wale and slowly get up and walk away. No one make eye contact with anyone there. We will meet for drinks at 10:15 at the Oscar's Sports Bar (the bar with the huge 2-story TV in Old Town)
Do you wish you had some more of Tyler and Disney? Are the weekly videos not really enough for your fix? Well, we've got some good news for you. During our Nashville excursion we happened to be on the radio...and there's an archive of the show. So, if you've got some extra time and you want to hear us ramble and also hear some cool music, check this out.
We'd like to thank our awesome host DJ Janet for giving us the opportunity to be on her show. We had a fantastic time. If you like what you hear, you can check out DJ Janet at http://www.outtheother.com/
HUGE NEWS!!! On the 4th of July, Tyler,Disney, and Tammy the Ambulance will be in the Lake Bluff (north chicago area) 4th of July Parade!
here are a few things were thinking about doing:
1-Handing out "ambi-mints" for candy, we need people to hand out.
2- we need a driver!
3- We're thinking about doing some sort of moving art piece where we put up a bunch of butcher paper on the side of Tammy and have people come up and sign, or draw! we need people to supervise, and hand out crayons, and markers.
4- We also want people goin nuts the whole time, if you can: hoola hoop, recite shakesphere, juggle, play an instrument, we want you to do your talent aside Tammy for the parade
This will ALL be video taped and will definatley make it into our chicago episode, and be seen by: hundreds of peope live, and thousands on the net.
So if you want to participate give Tyler a call 847-951-5080.
We almost ran out of gas. We pulled over in markham, virginia and found a service station that had a gas pump. But it turned out it was a kerosene pump... Luckily we found an exxon down the road where the gas was only 2.79 a gallon. We also met a man named lieutenant dan. We're hoping to stop in blackburg tonight and make it to nashville tomorrow.
Hey everyone. Good News and Bad News and Good News
Good News - We spent an amazing fun filled day with the Patton twins in our nation's capitol, Washington D.C. and some hillarious things happened indeed.
Bad News - We're not going to post our top ten today
Good News - You will see a majority of them on our next video blog. (we don't want to ruin them for you, like the way "Next Week On Lost" previews always ruin the episode.)
Today we left New York City and headed down to Washington D.C. We went to some cool sites like the Battlefield of Princeton and Valley Forge. We are now staying with two lovely and outrageous twins, Fran and Ellen. The drive was adventurous. Tammy has two tanks but only the smaller one works. It only holds 12 gallons and we only get 6 miles to the gallon so we had to stop 5 times for gas.... Disney's credit card company called because they thought something shady was going down.
Well here's our top ten funniest happenings of Day 1 ( in no particular order)
1. “Liberty Bell” – Disney accidentally google mapped the directions for liberty bell street instead of the Liberty Bell. We ended at a crappy buffet where there was an ugly baby and an asian waitress who was totally interested in Disney
2. Mechanicsville Lane and Street Road – two names of streets we thought we're funny in Pennsylvania
3. Seeing where Disney’s ancestor, General Hugh Mercer, got stabbed by red coats
4. Getting the hooka shut down at a “Great Gatsby Party” by some really preppy guys. (We realized we were no longer in New York.)
5. Soaring Kierkegaard – the new name for tyler’s band
6. Trying to trade beef jerky in exchange for a place in the toll line
7. Disney’s crazy fume dream – Whenever you drive Tammy, fumes come out of the engine under the wheel (you can feel hot air on your legs.) Tyler was asleep and Disney had a crazy hallucination about a fleet of spaceships shooting ice cream cones at the sun
8. Disney’s email from his middle school spanish teacher. Here's an excerpt: “Hey guys! (or should I say "¡Buen viaje!"?) Good luck on your trip! I'll be watching!” (P.S. You rock Senora Gray.)
9. Disney ripping his pearl snap shirt off at the Gatsby party (it was by request.)
10. Grant’s Message – Grant Mitchell was supposed to come on the roadtrip, but as the departure date neared, Grant hinted at maybe not being able to go because of Summer class. We didn’t hear from Grant for a couple days and he didn’t show up to the party. Today we got a message from Grant that went something like this, “Oh my gosh guys, I was about to come to your party but I read the invitation and realized it was yesterday. Well give me a call, I want to see ya’ll before you leave.”……We were in Washington D. C. when we listened to that voicemail.
First stop. This is where disney.s ancestor general hugh mercer was stabbed multiple times by the red coats because they thought he was george washington.
In this episode Tyler and Disney give their final thoughts before they embark on their roadtrip across America in their ambulance named Tammy. Special Guest Director: Scott Faris
